Overseerr FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about Overseerr, the request system for the Nasmans Plex-server
Overseerr FAQ
These are the most Frequently Asked Questions about Overseerr (the content-request system).
Q: I can't log in to Overseerr anymore?
A: If you're Esteban: try logging in using your Overseerr account. There's nothing wrong with your account, you're probably just trying to log in using a Plex account again :). If you're someone else: if your Plex account is not working anymore, I may have removed your server access due to a lack of activity.
Q: Can I just send you a message or request using a different means than Overseerr?
A: No. I'm honestly getting pretty fed up answering this question over and over again/explaining my motivation. There's more people using this server. If I get requests through multiple channels, it takes too much headspace and time. From here on out, Overseerr is the only valid way to make any content requests. I'll probably fully ignore requests using different means from now on.
Q: Can I request a single/specific season instead of a complete show?
A: Yes, you can. Just click the request button in Overseerr for the specific show and select the season(s) you wish to watch. (Protip: you currently have a better chance of me accepting a request for a single season instead of a whole show due to lack of storage)
Q: Why did you decline my content request?
A: You probably didn't read the rest of this Wiki if you still have this question, so I'll try to explain once again. This is my personal server, I bought all the hardware to personally move away from streaming services and learn about NAS's. I enjoy it myself, and am happy when more people than just me can enjoy it. I DO NOT have unlimited resources, storage is tight and I am pushing the system to its limits as it is. I try to have a media collection that is interesting to everyone making use of this server, if your content doesn't fall into that category: tough luck. Also, I may be strongly opinionated about some content, which may be a factor in my decision. You may say some of the content is only interesting to me; well that might be true, but it's still my personal project. You're welcome to pay for your own streaming services or set up your own server if this seems 'unfair' to you. I don't want to argue about this.
